Children’s Ministry

‘Come As You Are’ Bible Club

Our Bible club caters to the children in the church community. They come with what they have – with or without shoes, with whatever they have on. Our mandate is to reach these children with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to disciple them, so that one day they will become part of the church.

Reaching children is a large part of the vision of our head Pastor/Elder, who is also the pioneer of this work. Therefore, we are encouraged to form clubs wherever we can; whether in our yards, or our schools, to reach children with the gospel.

‘Come As You Are’ club caters to an average of eighty (80) children each Friday evening. We sing, play games, learn our memory verse and listen to God’s Word. We have a wide range of children attending from 2 years to 16 years old. We usually try to give them a good snack as many of them come from low income homes. Lately we have given each family represented a bag of groceries once a month. This has been made possible through Mr. Paul Dycke, a member of the EMMC church in Blue Creek Village. He wanted to partner with us to help alleviate poverty in the south side of Belize City where our church is situated.

Our prayer is that the Lord will raise up or send someone who has a passion for lost children and who will be able to coordinate this aspect of the work and expand it even more.

Pray with us as we continue to reach the children in our city. — Mrs. Loretta Soutar
